NEWBIE: Rolling message

Hi all

I want to have a vertical rolling message on my web page like "News"
preferably coming from a table. Can someone please assist.

Hello mate,

The best way to manage this would be to return the items (News etc)
from a table, and save within a JavaScript array, then use some DHTML
to animate it (no idea how to do this:))

There will be plenty of JavaScript animation scripts out there.
